Another wing enters the training-camp competition

The Knicks signed Ochai Agbaji to an Exhibit 9 contract, adding the 26-year-old wing to the group competing for a roster spot entering training camp.

Agbaji appeared in 62 games with Brooklyn and Toronto last season, averaging 5.1 points and 2.3 rebounds in 15.7 minutes. He was the No. 14 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft after helping Kansas win the NCAA championship.

Why it matters

New York’s core rotation is established, so the back end of the roster is about finding useful depth, defensive versatility and players who can survive limited minutes around the stars. Agbaji’s size and NBA experience make him worth watching during camp.
