Brunson is on track for camp

Jalen Brunson is expected to be ready for training camp after undergoing left wrist surgery in July following New York’s championship run.

NBA.com’s Knicks team page reported that Brunson was around 80 to 85 percent in mid-September and was expected to have no restrictions when camp begins.

Why it matters

Brunson remains the center of New York’s offense and enters the season as the reigning Finals MVP. A normal training camp would allow the Knicks to begin their title defense without needing to redesign the offense around a limited lead guard.
